Groote Eylandt Lodge, Alyangula

I had an amazing experience at Groote Eylandt Lodge. The views were beautiful, and the staff made me feel incredibly welcomed. The rooms are large and comfortable, but they could benefit from a little updating. The dining was exceptional, especially the fish prepared by the chef, but some menu options were a bit hit or miss. Overall, it was a great stay filled with enjoyable activities, though the facility could improve some minor details.

I had a mixed experience at Groote Eylandt Lodge. While I enjoyed the stunning views and some fantastic fishing opportunities, the room and facilities left much to be desired. The lodge is beautifully appointed, with clean and comfortable cabins that overlook the water, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, making the stay even more enjoyable. While the dining experience was fantastic, with fresh fish cooked expertly, it's worth noting that the overall experience is centered around fishing, which might not appeal to everyone.

However, the room I received was not what I'd booked, had cleanliness issues, and the dining options fell short of expectations. The fishing trips were incredible, and I was lucky to see dolphins and even a hammerhead shark! Overall, it's a place I’d love to come back to for the fantastic outdoor activities and friendly service.
